Making changes to an Etsy listing is only half the battle—tracking those changes is what helps you understand if they’re actually improving traffic and sales. eRank’s Listing Changes tool simplifies this process by taking daily snapshots of your tracked listings, allowing you to monitor key stats such as views, favorites, and quantity available. This tool is especially useful when testing new keywords or tweaking your listing titles to boost visibility. Let’s explore how this powerful SEO feature can help you fine-tune your Etsy strategy for better results.
Access the Changes Tool
From the eRank Dashboard, click on the LISTING OPTIMIZATION menu on the left-side navigation bar and select CHANGES from the menu to open the Listing Changes. The tool displays the active listings within your shop—between 50 listings for Free eRank Members up to 5000 listings for Expert Members. To track changes for a listing, click the “Track Changes” button below the listing title. If you are already tracking a listing, you will see an orange “Show Changes” button. Click this orange button to view the changes page for that listing.
NOTE: Your eRank subscription level determines the number of listings you can track, as follows:
- Free Members: 1 listing
- Basic Members: 5 listings
- Pro Members: 20 listings
- Expert Members: 50 listings
Look at a Snapshot
For each tracked listing, eRank takes a snapshot daily that includes total views, number of favorites, and item quantity available. It also shows any recent changes that you’ve made to your listing’s title, tags, photos, or price. For the title and tags, eRank highlights removed keywords in red with strikethrough formatting, while new additions appear in green. The colored font makes it easy to see changes that you made, which is important when testing out new keywords.
If views and favorites drop after changes, check a previous snapshot to restore removed keywords. This is a great way to test and troubleshoot your listings when sales hit a slump.
When specifically viewing the quantity available, total views, and total favorites, watch for the red and green indicators that reflect changes. A red number means that the overall number has decreased. For the quantity available column, this is typically a good thing because it means you made a sale. A green number indicates an increase for that metric.
Since eRank takes a daily snapshot while you track the listing and it remains active in your shop, these reference points provide valuable insights for making business decisions. Knowing when your listings get the most traction helps to plan out potential launches, marketing campaigns, or the best days to edit your listings.
Remove the Guesswork
eRank’s Listing Changes tool is a great way to see how a listing’s edits impact the views, favorites, and sales of that listing. Take the guesswork out of it and let eRank do the heavy lifting for you!
