Something is quickly shifting across Etsy searches right now, from crochet patterns to World Cup fan gear. eRank’s live keyword data shows where this momentum is building. Some of these increasingly popular searches relate to summer, while others point toward Halloween and Christmas.
These are the fastest-growing Etsy keyword searches this summer, grouped by theme so you can jump straight to what matters for your shop. Use them to update your listings, tags, and shop content before each wave peaks. Three of them are moving fast enough to flag before the full category breakdown:
Fastest riser
bear amigurumi pattern
11.7K avg · near zero to trending
“Bear amigurumi pattern” searches went from near zero to 11.7K searches in a matter of weeks, and the whole pattern category is surging in popularity (details below).
Biggest seasonal wave is starting now

CRAFT PATTERNS & DIY: The June Explosion
Something unusual is happening in the pattern world. Four pattern keywords went vertical at the same time in June, and two more hit all-time highs.
Why would cozy crafts spike in June? The timing makes more sense than it looks. Blankets, socks, and amigurumi are long projects. Makers who want handmade gifts under the tree start hooking during the summer. For pattern designers, this is the moment: your buyers are planning their holiday creations right now.
FASHION & ACCESSORIES: Dressing for the Season
Shoppers are searching for warm-weather wearables with a personal edge. Embroidered hats and kandi beads are both spiking. Although these two aesthetics could not be more different from one another, both have strong summer relevance.
One more angle for jewelry sellers: ruby is July’s birthstone, and peridot follows in August. In 2025, “ruby earrings” peaked in July and “peridot earrings” peaked in August, matching their birthstone months. These are short windows with clear buyer intent. A dedicated listing for each stone may be worth the effort.

HOME & OUTDOOR LIVING: Bringing the Outside In (and the Inside Out)
People are refreshing their spaces for summer gatherings. As a result, our data shows demand across decor, furniture, and entertaining accessories.
EVENTS & CELEBRATIONS: The Summer Social Calendar
With Father’s Day and the 4th of July behind us, wedding season takes center stage. Shoppers tend to stock up four to six weeks before the big day.
Of all the events above, back to school is the one to act on today. It peaks between mid-July and August, so listings that are tagged now still have time to rank.
Plan Ahead: HALLOWEEN & CHRISTMAS (the Counterintuitive Summer Opportunity)
It may sound counterintuitive, but the buyers who shop early for Halloween and Christmas are searching well before the season begins. By the time fall arrives, the best rankings are often already decided.
Even during the summer, “halloween” holds around 50K average searches, on its way to a peak that reached 153K in October 2025. That gap is the opportunity: listing now, while most sellers wait, gives your listings weeks of ranking time before the August rush.
SPORTS & CULTURE: The Final World Cup Push
The FIFA World Cup is in its final stretch, with the championship match on July 19 in New Jersey. Searches are peaking right now, and competition on Etsy remains remarkably low.
One number sums up the whole section: “world cup 2026” has a keyword difficulty score of just 2 out of 100 on Etsy. Demand is there, and almost nobody is optimizing for it. This window favors fast movers: digital downloads, print-on-demand, and made-to-order items can go live in hours. After July 19, expect this traffic to fade quickly.
FOR DIGITAL SELLERS: Three Quiet Opportunities
Three digital-friendly keywords are climbing with little fanfare.
Your Action Plan: From Keyword Data to Listings
This data is a starting point for a decision, not a checklist to complete. Here is how to turn it into something your shop can actually use.
1. Start with two or three keywords, not all of them
Not every keyword above will fit your shop. Pick two or three that clearly match your niche instead of trying to cover all of them. A listing built around a keyword that has nothing to do with what you sell will not rank, no matter how fast that keyword is growing.
2. Analyze each one in the Keyword Tool
Once you have a shortlist, open each keyword in eRank’s Keyword Tool. Check the competition score, the related searches, and the long-tail variations. Some of the terms above are broad on purpose; the real opportunity is often a more specific variation with a better volume-to-competition ratio.
3. Match your timing to the keyword
Some of these searches are peaking now, but know that “world cup 2026” will fade fast after July 19. Others foreshadow upcoming trends for Q3 and Q4. Searches for “christmas” have only just passed 20K and will not peak until November. List and tag according to which kind of keyword you are working with, and remember that they do not all need the same urgency.
Whether it is a pattern that went from zero to 11.7K searches in weeks or a keyword sitting at a difficulty score of 2, the sellers who match their strategy to the data are the ones ranking when demand peaks.
