If you’re an Etsy seller looking to boost your shop’s performance, increase visibility, and understand market trends, eRank is a valuable tool. eRank provides data-driven insights to optimize your Etsy listings, stay on top of trends, and improve your shop’s SEO strategy. If you’re a seller on platforms other than Etsy, eRank offers trend and keyword research to help you rank higher in your brand’s niche. Here’s how to get started.

  1. Sign Up for eRank and Connect Your Shop
  2. Explore Your Dashboard
  3. Analyze Your Listings
  4. Try the Keyword Tool and Save to a Keyword List
  5. Monitor Trends
  6. Download the eRank Browser Extension

Step 1: Sign Up for eRank and Connect Your Shop

Go to eRank and sign up for an account. Our free plan offers a variety of tools. However, sellers who want more in-depth insights, higher daily quotas, and access to a wider range of features should consider a paid plan. You can learn about the different options on the Plans page.

After signing up, you’ll need to Connect Your Shop to eRank. Connecting your shop allows eRank to analyze your listings and provide you with tailored recommendations. eRank only has the ability to read your shop’s data. It is not able to make changes to your Etsy listings in any way. When your shop is connected, you will gain access to features such as Listing Audits, Traffic Stats, and Health Check. These tools show you actionable steps to improve your listings and learn what keywords buyers use to find your shop.

Step 2: Explore Your Dashboard

Once you’ve connected your Etsy shop, you’ll land on your eRank dashboard, which is your go-to for daily insights. From Traffic Stats to Top Keywords, the dashboard provides a wealth of information about your shop’s performance. You’ll also find quick access to helpful features such as the eRank Blog.

Each time you make changes to your listings or want to see the latest data for your shop, click the “Refresh Data” button in the top right-hand corner to allow eRank to sync any updates onto your dashboard.

One of the first helpful features to dive into is the Health Check tool. This tool shows easy, actionable steps you can take to ensure that your listings are free of spelling errors, missing tags, missing photos, and one-word tags. Fixing these flagged issues improves the appearance of your listings. It can also help them rank higher in shoppers’ search results.

Another useful feature is the Spotted on Etsy tool. This report displays results stripped of Etsy’s AI personalization and paid ads, showing which of your listings eRank found among the first 100 listings for specific keywords while performing random searches on Etsy.

This feature also shows you the keywords that shoppers used to find your listings in Etsy search, how popular those keywords are, and how your items’ ranks for all keywords have changed over the past 14 days.

Please note that, in order for eRank to show you which of your keywords brought real shoppers to your listings, you will need to connect a Google Analytics account to your Etsy shop. For a step-by-step guide on syncing the two, read this eRank help article: How to set up Google Analytics 4 for your Etsy shop.

Step 3: Analyze Your Listings

Once you have connected your Etsy shop, use eRank’s Listing Audits tool to identify potential issues for individual listings. This tool evaluates nearly all parts of a listing and highlights how well they follow Etsy’s Best Practices. In addition, it offers suggestions on how you can tweak and improve your listings for better search visibility.

While using this tool and working on your listings, remember eRank’s Golden Rule: Never touch the SEO of a listing that is performing well for you.

Stay ahead of the competition by keeping an eye on the latest market trends. Use our Trend Buzz and Monthly Trends tools to see what buyers are searching for right now, and plan for upcoming holidays or seasonal spikes with relevant product ideas.

Use Trend Buzz to see the most popular keywords on Etsy and over two dozen other platforms for the past 30 days. The Monthly Trends tool allows you to learn what was trending on Etsy for the past 15 months, in each of Etsy’s main categories as well as for POD (Print on Demand) products.

This tools works while you are performing research on etsy.com. As with the Keyword Tool, use the star icon to save keywords straight to a Keyword List.
