We love these quarterly Top 1000 lists so much! The vagaries and single-month spikes driven by Etsy promos and influencers are smoothed out. Quarterly rankings more accurately reflect current trends in the top Etsy keywords, both fads and old favorites. And Q3 does not disappoint: that’s exactly what we see in its Top 20.

First though, let’s check in with 2025’s quarterly Top 20 mainstays. These are this year’s most popular Etsy trending searches so far.

Mainstays: these made Q1-Q2-Q3 2025’s Top 20s

.:Drum roll:. In Q3 rank order, followed by their ranks in the second quarter and then first quarter: The Nine Favorites.

#2 “stickers” (#4 in Q2; #3 in Q1)

#3 “earrings” (#7 in Q2; #4 in Q1)

#4 “jewelry” (#15 in Q2; #10 in Q1)

#6 “wall art” (#6 in Q2; #1 in Q1)

#10 “shirt” (#10 in Q2; #15 in Q1)

#16 “pokemon” (#13 in Q2; #8 in Q1)

#17 “necklace” (#11 in Q2; #7 in Q1)

#19 “rings” (#12 in Q2; #9 in Q1)

#20 “keychain” (#16 in Q2; #19 in Q1)

Is anyone surprised to learn that “stickers” is the top-ranked favorite of 2025 so far?

Top-ranked Q1-Q2-Q3 2025 favorite: “stickers”

Here it is in the latest update of Keyword Tool, now with Conversion stats!

On the left, US keyword stats for Etsy shopper search “stickers.” The line chart shows its search trend performance with Etsy’s US shoppers over the past 15 months.
On the left, US keyword stats for Etsy shopper search “stickers.” The line chart shows its search trend performance with Etsy’s US shoppers over the past 15 months.

See those two little gold badges above the charts? “High Conversion” indicates “stickers” has been added to lots of carts and purchased the past 30 days. The badge beside it tells us “stickers” continues to trend with shoppers this week.

It surprised us, how stable over time this year’s quarterly mainstays turned out to be. Because throughout 2025, Etsy Top 20 lists have been chaotic with lots of climbers and screamers. (So-called for seeming to scream to the top out of nowhere. Just the month before, these hadn’t even cracked the Top 1000.) So, we expected to see more turnover in the quarterly Top 20s than last year. But nope; back in 2024, there were only seven left standing after the third quarter.

Next, let’s take a quick look at Q3’s “climbers,” the shopper searches that weren’t on Q2’s Top 20. Here’s where we spot emerging trends.

Q3’s top Etsy searches climbing highest fastest

Coincidentally, we also have nine Quarter-on-Quarter (QoQ) climbers.

Ranked 1st in Q3: “halloween,” up from #119 in Q2

5th: “kpop demon hunters;” screamer (not in Q2’s Top 1000)

8th: “fall decor;” screamer

9th: “press on nails,” up from #30 in Q2

12th: “wedding gift,” up from #365 in Q2

13th: “home decor,” up from #22 in Q2

14th: “sapphire birthstone;” screamer

15th: “wallet,” up from #47 in Q2

18th: “labubu clothes,” up from #120 in Q2

Three of the nine are screamers. The wildly-popular “Kpop demon hunters” movie was just released in August. “Fall decor” is seasonal. So the only puzzling one is “sapphire birthstone.”

We still don’t know why “sapphire birthstone” soared so high on Etsy this September. Every single day for a month, Etsy’s new “Marketplace Insights” tool showed it as Etsy’s top search worldwide. Sapphire is September’s birthstone, yes. But birthstones don’t even make the monthly Top 20 lists, let alone a quarterly’s.

Here it is in Keyword Tool.

On the left, Etsy US keyword stats for shopper search “sapphire birthstone.” The line chart shows its search trend performance over the past 15 months.
On the left, Etsy US keyword stats for shopper search “sapphire birthstone.” The line chart shows its search trend performance over the past 15 months.

Yikes: both a single-month search spike, plus an Avg. CTR (click-through rate) too low to estimate. When we calculated this screamer’s CTR for Q3, it was just 10%. That indicates a concerning lack of purchase intent. No reason to change your SEO for this one.

Ranked 12th: “wedding gift,” up from #365 in Q2

And this is the most surprising of the QoQ climbers.

On the left, US keyword stats for Etsy shopper search “wedding gift.” The line chart shows its search trend performance with Etsy’s US shoppers over the past 15 months. It has the gold badge for trending with shoppers this week.

Q2 is Apr-May-Jun; peak wedding season, right? Yet this year in Q2, “wedding gift” singular ranked #365 and the plural was #258. Huh. Our data-geek senses tingling, we checked past years’ quarterly Top 1000 lists.

Back in Q2 2023, its Top 1000 had 21 searches with the word “wedding.” Plural “wedding gifts” ranked 41; “wedding gift” ranked #113. Next, we ransacked last year’s Q2 top Etsy keywords; it had fewer wedding searches: 19. “Wedding gift” ranked 62; the plural ranked #161. This year in Q2? Top 1000 search terms with “wedding” were down to just 14!

Meanwhile in Q3 2025 there were 18, up one Year on Year (YoY) over Q3 2024. Also notable: last year in Q3, the highest wedding-related search ranked #25. The second-highest was “wedding gift” at #124; seven of its 17 wedding searches didn’t make the Top 500. Compare that with this Q3. There’s 12th-ranked “wedding gift” in the Top 20, plus four more in the Top 100. And all but four of its 18 searches are in the Top 500.

Wedding industry forecasters have been predicting more fall weddings in the US. And we’ve been seeing that reflected in our Etsy UK and Canada data, too. Fall weddings used to be rare in those countries. Now, wedding searches are making their fall Top 20s, too.

Next, let’s see what else has climbed YoY to help us spot what’s new.

Q3 2025’s Top 20 climbers Year on Year

Q3 has ten YoY climbers. Here they are in current rank order, followed by their rank (if any) in Q3 last year.

Ranked 5th: “kpop demon hunters,” screamer (not in Q3 2024’s Top 1000)

7th: “personalized gift,” up from #87 in Q3 2024

8th: “fall decor,” up from #60

9th: “press on nails,” up from #97

11th: “labubu,” screamer

12th: “wedding gift,” up from #124

14th: “sapphire birthstone,” screamer

15th: “wallet,” up from #117

17th: “necklace,” up from #21

18th: “labubu clothes,” screamer

Altogether, ten Year on Year (YoY) climbers, four of which are screamers. As mentioned earlier, the “kpop demon hunters” movie just opened this August. Two other screamers are related to Labubu; in the US, she didn’t go viral until this year. And since we’ve already talked about “sapphire birthstone,” that does it for the screamers.

Just above, we covered the climber that covered the most ground YoY, “wedding gift.” The second farthest climb to reach the top was that of 9th-ranked “press on nails.” As it happens, we’ve been following this one for a while. “Press on nails” has made a couple of Etsy’s monthly US Top 20 lists this year.

Ranked 9th: “press on nails,” up from #97 in Q3 2024

In May, this shopper search ranked 20th. Then in September, it soared to take 3rd place!

On the left, US keyword stats for Etsy shopper search “press on nails.” The line chart shows its search trend performance with Etsy’s US shoppers over the past 15 months. This one has both gold badges, for high conversion (searches converting to sales) and for trending this week.
On the left, US keyword stats for Etsy shopper search “press on nails.” The line chart shows its search trend performance with Etsy’s US shoppers over the past 15 months. This one has both gold badges, for high conversion (searches converting to sales) and for trending this week.

Since we covered this one in our September Etsy trend report, we won’t here; we know you’re busy. One thing though does bear repeating: “press on nails” has epic click-through rates! An Avg CTR of 135%; for September, its monthly CTR was 150%, which is as high as ours go. And for all of Q3, it’s got a quarterly CTR of 143%. This indicates quite a hunk of burning purchase intent!

Tip: Top Etsy searches and purchase intent

For any of you new to selling online, this will be a useful tip.

On ecommerce sites, click-through rates (CTRs) reflect how many times shoppers clicked listings in their search results. Therefore, CTRs are an indicator of ‘purchase intent.’ These are people more likely searching with the intention to buy, as opposed to those just browsing.

Yes, it’s important to keep up with the top Etsy searches. But for insight into what’s selling best on Etsy, look to their click-through rates. It’s why we end these trend reports with a Quarterly CTR Roundup. It’s your insider access to which of the Top 250 Etsy trending searches have the highest CTRs this quarter. Let’s get to it!

Roundup! Q3’s top Etsy keywords with 125%+ CTRs

Here, we’re looking for Etsy trending searches that show the most purchase intent now. We’ll whiz through Q3’s Top 250 keywords to identify which have third-quarter CTRs of 125%+. Researching what to sell on Etsy? This lightning round is for you!

Of the top ecommerce sites, we’ve found Etsy to have the most shopper searches with high CTRs. That said, even on Etsy, CTRs this high are rare. Particularly the quarterly CTRs; our Quarterly Roundups always have fewer entries. (That said, this one has more than usual; August’s Roundup had a record-breaking number of high CTRs. September didn’t have quite as many, but still more than average.)

Note that these calculations are drawn exclusively from Q3 2025 click data. So, regardless of their 12-mo CTRs, these searches showed the most purchase intent in July through September. Which means many should still be selling well now. Any of interest, you could always check whether they also made the Roundup in September’s Etsy trend report.

Tip! Add seasonal searches (e.g., for Back to School, fall decor, Halloween) to specific Keyword Lists. That way, you’ll have them ready for updating your SEO well ahead of next year’s buyers. (And thereby get the jump on some of your competitors!)

Just a word of caution before we begin. Some of these shopper searches could definitely cause an Etsy seller problems. Whether protected by intellectual property rights or prohibited by Etsy, please look before you leap!

Ranked from #1-50

Note: For the sake of readability, we’ll only shout out a handful of individual CTRs. Just know all qualifiers listed have CTRs of 125% or higher, so all are signaling exceptional purchase intent.

Of Q3’s Top 20, there are eight. In the Top 10: #1-2 halloween and stickers; #5 kpop demon hunters; #9-10 press on nails and shirt. Then at #16-18, a trio: pokemon, necklace, labubu clothes.

Moving on to the rest of the Top 50, at #21 is halloween shirt, then at #24-25 tshirt and badge reel. At #29 there’s furniture; then #31 charlie kirk and #35 vintage. Next, a trio: #37-39 phone case, tarot reading, t shirt. Skip just one for #41 christmas. “Christmas” has a Q3 CTR of 150%, as high as they go. Let’s go see what we can see, shall we?

#41 “christmas” – Q3 2025 CTR: 150%

At first glance, looks like mixed blessings. For September, search volume is down 25% YoY. Christmas ranked 5th last year in September.

On the left, US keyword stats for Etsy shopper search “christmas.” The line chart shows its search trend performance with Etsy’s US shoppers over the past 15 months. And it has both gold badges, for high conversion and for trending with shoppers this week.

The good news is that back then, its monthly CTR was 119%. Which is better than average, but 150% is as good as it gets. Even shoppers using such a broad keyword are clicking through to check out lots of listings in their search results. Nearly 200,000 listings in September! And remember, that gold “High Conversion” badge tells us shoppers using this search are buying within 30 days. Isn’t that what matters most?

Returning to Q3’s Roundup, there’s just one more qualifier in the Top 50: it’s #44 deltarune.

Ranking #51-100

This group begins with #53 ring, then the trio at #56-58: mask, psychic reading, wedding dress. Next are #60 fall; #62 fursuit; and #65 pins (which has a Q3 CTR of 150%!). Then another trio: #70-72 clothing, charlie kirk shirt, bag. And at #77 is keycaps, another with 150% for Q3.

At #82-84, yet another trio, all high flyers: cat, patches, digital products. And the last two qualifiers in the Top 100 are #89 charms and #97 plants.

Next, ranked #101-150

Straight out of the gate, we have a Q3 CTR of 150% for #102 mug. Skip ahead to #107-108 for phone charm and storage, then on to #114 for decor and #117 coasters. Skip just one and we have a quartet of qualifiers: planner, keychains, vtuber model, and room decor.

At #124-130, there’s a septet: bag charm, desk, badge reels, nails, anime, dice, halloween png. Next is #139 candle, then this group finishes with two pairs of qualifiers. At #142-143: demon slayer, hoodie, and at #145-146: taylor swift, forsaken.

Ranked from #151-200

The first qualifier here has a perfect 150% CTR for Q3. Let’s pause to admire it.

#155 “enamel pin” – Q3 2025 CTR: 150%

The singular and plural of “enamel pin” also had September CTRs of 150%. (As did “pins” in September and Q3.)

On the left, US keyword stats for Etsy shopper search “enamel pin.” The line chart shows its search trend performance with Etsy’s US shoppers over the past 15 months. Note the gold badge telling us it’s also trending this week.

If you’re here to find out what’s selling best on Etsy, pins are!

Back on our Roundup, the next are #162 kpop; #173 one piece; and #175 witch hat. Then there’s the pair at #179-180 journal and quilt, followed by #186 sweatshirt. And just four more qualifiers in Q3’s Top 200. At #191 is custom neon sign, followed by #193 shower curtain; #196 fursuit head; and #199 leather.

Finally, from #201-250

Right off at #201-202 there’s a pair of qualifiers, tenna and fnaf. Right on their heels, another pair: #205-206 hollow knight and dragon. Skip just one and there’s umamusume with a perfect 150% CTR for Q3.

Skip one again for the pair at #210-211: sewing patterns and tarot cards. Then a couple of singletons, #214 sword and #217 twitch emotes. Skip one again and there’s another pair: neon sign and twenty one pilots. Next up, #223 desk mat and #225 pet memorial.

At #231 we have cosplay, then the pair at #234-235: sweater and chrome hearts. And then a trio: #237-239 custom stickers, teacher shirts, and mtg. The last two qualifiers for Q3’s Roundup: #243 silver ring and #246 beads.

We hope some of these prove to be profitable leads for you!
