Warning: Beware of trademarked terms. This report may contain keywords that are trademarked: USPTO Trademark Database.
Same as last month, you have 16 climbers – Top 20 keywords that weren’t in your previous Top 20. What is different is that five of them are screamers. (That’s our pet name for Top 20 keywords that didn’t even make your Top 1000 a month ago.) Four of those, plus three of your climbers, are searches for essentially the same thing. Birthday invitations that could get you in big trouble with the folks whose intellectual property would be infringed. Not to mention Etsy.
So, let’s just pretend we don’t see those, shall we? Because there is plenty else to talk about.
A unicorn has climbed into your Top 20!
We’re excited! We talked about “vtuber model” in your trend report last month. It ranked #38 in May, up from #280 in January, when we featured “vtuber” in your January Roundup. (“Vtuber” is also one of your unicorns.) “Vtuber model” has done a ton of climbing since then!
Ranked 18th: “vtuber model,” up from #38

We’ve begun calling opportunities like these “unicorns” because of all the Etsy naysayers who claim they don’t exist. That is, they don’t believe any product niches with above-average demand and below-average competition are left on Etsy anymore.
Yet, “vtuber model” is the very picture of a unicorn. Nine out of 15 months with 1000+ searches; its average CTR way above average; Competition deeply green. (Only 69 Australian listings use this keyword!) And now it’s climbed into the Top 20!
VTubers are YouTube streamers who use personas and thus need digital avatars (aka “models”) to perform. Etsy is the ideal venue for these streamers to find artists who can supply their needs. Anyone here for ideas of what to sell on Etsy in a niche you could make your own? Equipping VTubers is one of our Top Picks.
And there’s more news this month! You have an extraordinary number of exceptionally high monthly CTRs in your Top 20. In May you had five, which we thought was a lot. This month, you have nine, and all nine are 147%+! Which might well be a record. These items must be selling like hotcakes now!
Tip! Top Etsy searches and purchase intent
For those of you who are new to selling online, here’s a quick explainer.
On ecommerce sites, click-through rates (CTRs) reflect how many times shoppers clicked individual listings in their search results. Therefore, CTRs are an indicator of ‘purchase intent.’ Because this behavior is associated with people searching with the intention to buy, as opposed to those just browsing.
You’ll want to keep up with the highest trending Etsy searches, sure. But for insight into what is selling best on Etsy now, look to their click-through rates. It’s why we end our trend reports with a Monthly CTR Roundup. You’ll learn which of Australia’s top Etsy searches have had the highest CTRs most recently. And since it appears you have a bumper crop this month, let’s get to them!
Roundup! Australia’s top Etsy keywords with 135%+ CTRs now
Wondering what’s selling best on Etsy? Then this is for you! It’s your insider access to which of this month’s highest trending Etsy searches show the most purchase intent. Now, for these Roundups we draw our calculations exclusively from your most recent full month of data. Therefore, regardless of their 12-mo CTRs, these products are what’s selling best on Etsy Down Under now.
Ranking #1-50
Note: For readability, we’ll only shout out a handful of individual CTRs that are sky high. Just keep in mind that our 135% threshold indicates exceptional purchase intent. Which means any qualifying keywords you see here that interest you will be worth researching.
First, the nine high flyers in your Top 20. Six of them are the trademarked birthday invitations. Now, about those: the UK and Canada also have a slew of them in their Top 20s this month. The US has some too, just not ranked quite so high – including the Pokemon one with the identical typo. Something is decidedly sus about these; we doubt they’ll be in next month’s Top 20s.
We begin with a trio of them: mickey mouse birthday invitation, sonic birthday invitation, pokmon [sic] birthday invitation. Then you have poster, super mario birthday invitation, mug, adhd planner, spongebob birthday invitation, and spiderman birthday invitation. And by George, we just now discovered that “vtuber model” isn’t the only unicorn in your Top 20!
#17 “adhd planner” – June CTR: 150%

Because this is the first time “adhd planner” has made a Top 20, off we shot to Keyword Tool. And what a lovely surprise we got!
It’s a unicorn, alright. Above-average demand: eight of the past 15 months with 1,000+/searches. Below-average competition: fewer than 2,000 Australian Etsy listings use it. And yet these are clearly selling exceptionally well: its 12-mo CTR is 119%, which is well above average. And for June, its monthly CTR is as high as CTRs go! Congrats: we’re happy for you.
Moving on now to the rest of your Top 50, from #21-25 you have a quintet! Silent hill, phone case, crochet, nails, christmas. We featured “nails” in last month’s Roundup; it’s already among your blessing of unicorns. (A group of unicorns is called a “blessing.” Which is so apt for our use of the term, eh?)
As for #25 “christmas,” we checked: Year on Year, “christmas” is up on Etsy Australia by 4,800%! It’s also got a 12-mo CTR of 136%; fantastically high. And for June, it has 148%. Better get any Christmas stuff listed asap, friends!
Next up is #27 pins, then at #40-42, a trio: baby announcement, funny shirt, and housewarming gift. At #44 is lightning mcqueen birthday invitation, followed by #46-47 kingdom hearts and juno overwatch. Skip one and there’s another pair: nursery art and orange wall sconce.
Ranked from #51-100
We haven’t seen high flyer #52 garnet necklace for men make a Roundup before, so we looked it up. It’s currently just a single-month spike, and Australia has 90% of the global search volume. Might be one to watch; “garnet” appears six times in your Top 1000, all six in the Top 200. But that is unusual, especially for June; garnet is January’s birthstone. And apart from one (“garnet necklace”), the rest of your top garnet-related searches are also single-month spikes in Keyword Tool. All told, seems iffy.
Next up, a quartet: #54-57 genshin, metaphysical, miniatures, moissanite ring bezel. Skip just one and you have a septet! From #59: sponge bob birthday invitation, spidey birthday invitation, project sekai, psychedelic art, alan wake, custom rug, 3d printed. Skip one again and there’s a pair, #67-68 chatgpt and clowncore.
At #70-73 is another quartet: digital downloads, custom tapestry, garnet emerald cut pendant, and gatchapop. (They probably want gachapop, the GachaPop toy vending machine.) But here’s the one we want.
#71 “custom tapestry” – June CTR: 139%

It’s a unicorn! That Avg. Searches stat is a might low, but it has six of the past 15 months with 1,000+/mo searches. So it qualifies on all counts!
Resuming our Roundup, you’ve got a quintet next: #75-79 scrub hats, custom gift, cyberdeck, digital, colouring in. Skip one and there’s a pair: black and expiry membership. Next, #84 icon pack, #88 4th of July shirt, and a pair: #91-92 convention jw eternal happiness kids and calendar. At #95 you have clown; it has a June CTR of 146%. If it gets a couple more months with 1,000+/mo searches, you might have another unicorn. And the last two in your Top 100 are #97-98 gua sha and mirror.
#98 “mirror” – June CTR: 145%

While yes, we’d prefer to see that Avg. Searches stat in the green, “mirror” qualifies as a unicorn for you. When reviewing US Top 200 lists for Monthly Trends in recent months, we’ve noticed more mirror searches. Especially compact mirrors and pocket mirrors, but even floor mirrors are trending on Etsy US now. And that gold badge above tells us “mirror” is among Australia’s top Etsy searches this week. Certainly worth researching.
Next, from #101-150
Straight out of the gate, #101 shark; it’s got a June CTR of 145%. As do the next two: #103 svg and #122 social media templates, and whoa, Nellie! Unicorn alert!
#122 “social media templates” – June CTR: 145%

That said, while it has five months with search volume above 1,000, seven others are pretty flat. Looks like last year, the biggest months for social media templates were October through February. It did get a little lift back in June 2025, and for this June, it’s up 127% YoY. All things considered, it might be prudent to add it to a Keyword List first. Let that tool report on it to you for a while.
Next up on your Roundup are #126 ufc poster and #129 the new yorker poster. Then at #132-134, you have a trio: philip [sic] pirrup, plates, printable. But from there, the list takes a snooze through the rest of this set of 50.
Finally, ranked from #151-200
And wow, it keeps on sleeping until #187 garnet.
#187 “garnet” – June CTR: 144%

As we mentioned earlier, you have six searches in your Top 200 with the word “garnet.” Here’s the broad search, and its single-month spike of searches is typical for all but #119 “garnet necklace.” That is the only one with previous months of search volume – but its June CTR is a dismal 13%! So, this sudden surge of shopper interest in garnet items is not one to act on. Best practice is to add them to a Keyword List and wait and see.
Alas, that’s the first and last qualifier for this final group, and a wrap for this month. We really hope some of these prove to be profitable leads for you.
